Never Give Up!

When I first opened up shop on the Internet, I got a lot of advice and
encouragement from my family and friends. One piece of advice sticks
out more than anything and has really helped me to stick it out and turn
my small operation into a very successful online presence.
The advice came from my boss. I was working at a wholesale distributor
at the time. He had built his business up from a small pro shop to one
of the largest wholesale distributors in his industry, so when he gave
me business advice I listened. He told me that if I really wanted to
succeed I could, but I had to really want it. He told me the two most
important things to remember were to never give up and always maintain
my integrity.
I know, the advice does not seem life changing, and it sure as heck
isn't an original concept, but it has definitely helped me get to where
I am today. Like many people out there today it took me a long time to
build my business. There were many times that I wanted to quit and go
back to working full time for someone else. There were many months when
I was barely scraping by.
It was at those times when I would think about what my old boss said.
If I really wanted success, I could not give up. I had to push on!
Instead of quitting I would endeavor to learn more and more about being
successful on the Internet. I would take more courses, read more books,
study more web sites and consult with a business coach. I made a lot of
mistakes but I tried to learn from each and every one of them.
So, if it is taking longer than you thought or if you are starting to
become discouraged that your online business is not growing fast enough,
do not give up. The worse you do the harder you should try. That one
piece of advice has helped me build a very successful business presence
on the Internet.
